Date of birth: 4 May 1999 (27 years old)

Country: South Korean

Lee Su Hyun is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actress, and member of AKMU (악뮤; formerly known as AKDONG MUSICIAN). She lived in Mongolia for several years due to her parents' missionary work. Their living conditions were not ideal, as they often struggled financially. She was home-schooled and later passed the Middle High School Certification Graduation Examination and did not attend high school. She is the younger sister of Lee Chan Hyuk, the other half of AKMU. Around 2011, she had to briefly return to South Korea to solve some visa issues. Her brother followed, and after careful consideration, both decided to stay. The siblings, under the name AKDONG MUSICIAN, joined Proteurment (an intercollegiate association that supports amateur artists) after they were discovered on YouTube. They began performing on stages with an original song titled "Galaxy". In August 2012, they entered the singing survival competition "K-Pop Star 2", which they ended up winning. They received a cash prize of ₩300 million (~ USD $260,000), a new car, and the chance to sign a contract with one of the three entertainment agencies involved in the show: SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, or JYP Entertainment. After 2 months of deliberation, they chose YG Entertainment (YG 엔터테인먼트) as their home. They made their debut in April 2014 with their studio album, "Play". Since then, they have earned numerous accolades and the honorific title of "The Nation's Siblings". Her brother enlisted in the military between September 2017 and May 2019, and the duo went on hiatus. After he was discharged, they decided to permanently use the abridged version of the name, AKMU. She made her debut as a solo artist in October 2020 with the digital single "Alien". On November 21, 2025, she left YG Entertainment after 12 years.
