Kim Ye Rim, known professionally as Yeri, is a South Korean singer, dancer and member of RED VELVET (레드벨벳). She graduated from Hanlim Arts High School. Before debuting, she was selected by SM Entertainment (SM엔터테인먼트) in 2011 during a public audition. She became part of SM Entertainment's pre-debut group SM Rookies and also appeared in the MVs for Henry's "1-4-3" and SHINEE's "Why So Serious". She made her debut in March 2015, joining as the group's new sub-vocalist, sub-rapper and maknae with the EP "Ice Cream Cake". RED VELVET had debuted 7 months prior, but SM decided that adding a fifth member would be the best option moving forward. As she was already a trainee in the company, she knew all her groupmates, so it was easier for her to fit in. She has also ventured into acting and appears in variety shows and as a host. On April 4, 2025, SM Entertainment announced that Yeri’s exclusive contract with the agency had expired, but she would still be working with the agency for her group activities as a member of Red Velvet. On May 1, 2025, she signed an exclusive contract with Blitzway Entertainment.
