He made his debut as a solo artist in March 2020 with the special album "Yook O'Clock". He enlisted for his mandatory military service on May 11, 2020, and was discharged on November 14, 2021. In November 2023, his exclusive contract with CUBE Entertainment (큐브엔터테인먼트) expired after 11 years, and he decided to leave the company but remains part of the group. He is now represented by I Will Media ((주)아이윌미디어). Apart from being a singer, he has also been an MC and appeared in multiple TV dramas, variety and reality shows.
