Minato Yokoi and Wataru Nakano became friends in high school over a love of photography, and even lived together at university. When Minato left for work in Hokkaido, Wataru returned to the empty apartment and finally realized he was in love. Frightened by these feelings, he stopped communicating with Minato altogether. Three years later, Wataru works at a local photo studio, and suddenly Minato writes to say he is being transferred back home. Wataru is delighted, but convinces himself that they should stay just friends. This resolve collapses the moment they meet, and all the feelings return with their old strength. Then Minato casually suggests: 'Let's live together.' Wataru cannot hide his joy, but still refuses: it is calmer for him to hold on to a friendship than to a relationship that might someday end. Minato does not give up and, with straightforward words and actions, moves closer, determined not to let Wataru run from love again. ~~ Adapted from the manga "Shinyu no "Dosei Shite" ni "Un" te Iu made" (親友の『同棲して』に『うん』て言うまで) by Roji (ろじ).
