Takoi, a 38-year-old unmarried detective in the criminal division of the quiet, semi-rural Yamanomichi police station, has not made a career in the service, but local residents of all ages love him. He keeps running into Shiono, a handsome officer in his twenties from the community safety division who is on a fast career track. They quarrel over every little thing, and after they end up living next door to each other in the police dormitory, they cannot avoid each other even outside work. Everything changes when Takoi is unexpectedly sent to an arranged marriage meeting. ~~ Adapted from the web manga "Kiss wa Sosa no Ato de" (キスは捜査のあとで) by Su (すう).
