Ye Shi Lan is a pediatrician at the Taoyuan Village Clinic who has only her patients' best interests at heart. She should have been glad when the new hospital director, Lu Zhao Xi, was appointed, but a rather large misunderstanding on her part gets their working relationship off on the wrong foot. Believing Zhao Xi to be an unscrupulous drug dealer who defrauds people, Shi Lan does everything she can to make his life miserable. But after she is appointed his temporary assistant, she soon realizes she was terribly mistaken about him. Solving a number of problems together, they put the past behind them and begin to develop mutual understanding and respect. Working side by side to save lives, they gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be a doctor and inspire each other to be their best. This unlikely pair begin to fall in love, but is either of them ready to admit the feelings they have secretly harbored?
