Young Gon Freecss dreams of finding his father, Ging, a legendary Hunter, and decides to take the grueling exam for a Hunter license. During the exam he meets three candidates whose friendship will turn his life upside down: Leorio, a medic; Kurapika, consumed by a thirst for revenge; and Killua, a former assassin with a mysterious past. Each has his own reasons for becoming a Hunter, but their trials forge an unbreakable bond. Together they learn that the path of a Hunter is not just about passing an exam, but about facing one's own fears and discovering one's true potential.
