Yan Lu is chased by pursuers, and while escaping he grabs the first person he meets, Jian An, the adopted young master of the Jian family. The fugitive gets away, but the next day Jian An, seeking revenge, kidnaps him. Jian An then becomes interested in his captive and demands that he become his bodyguard. Yan Lu has to agree, and Jian An invents ever new "tortures" for him. One day during a fight both get their clothes wet, and when changing, a birthmark is found on Yan Lu's lower back. This reveals the secret of his origin, and a conspiracy quietly begins to brew around them.
