Win, a 26-year-old fortune teller pursued by bad luck, must find a person with spiritual power to get through the year. A monk advises him to look for a protector with strong spiritual energy. That turns out to be Phloeng, the host of a ghost show, who does not believe in ghosts himself and relies on science and logic. Their first meeting is full of contradictions: Win is tormented by visions, while Phloeng mockingly offers the frightened stranger a place to spend the night at his home. When the skeptic and the seer join forces, a clash between science and the supernatural begins.
