"Padayon" is a Filipino word from the Visayan language meaning "onward" or "to continue." This is not a classic BL series; it touches on social issues such as sexual abuse, mental health, divorce, gender discrimination, bullying, and much more. The series reflects Filipino culture, speaks about the phase-out of jeepneys, and uses the Baybayin script. But it is still BL, and the story does not lose its romantic core.
