Keeping her husband and children alive as long as possible seems extremely difficult for Duean. No matter what she tries, she will lose her beloved man. A doctor assumes that they suffer from death disease, but she never believes in it. She is convinced that every loss in the past was due to a curse from her mother. The bereavement increases the pain of Duean, so she will do everything to protect the lives of Meen and Met, her daughter and son whom she loves as much as their grandmother.
