Minato arrives at university shy and unsure of himself, looking for a place where he can truly belong. Haru, the head of the theatre club, notices him and invites him to play Viola in a staging of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Although Minato is embarrassed to play a female role in a dress despite being a man, he gradually grows closer to Haru during rehearsals. But Minato's insecurity, his anxiety about gender and the presence of Haru's former lover, Kaede, stand in the way. After losing a keepsake from his late mother and an accident, Minato still chooses his wish to perform on stage with Haru, and the two step under the spotlights.
