The novel behind the series A Tale of Thousand Stars, a romance set in the mountains on Thailand's northern border. Tian, a young man from Bangkok, finds a pastel diary whose last line is a wish, and he sets off to become a volunteer teacher in a remote hill village to fulfil the last wish of the woman who wrote it. There he begins to discover his own worth and what it means to give without expecting anything back, and he meets Captain Phupha, the officer in charge of the area. As they grow closer, Tian starts to wonder whose feelings he is really carrying.

Book blurb
If one of the thousand wishes amidst the shimmering stars could come true… My only wish is to be by ‘his’ side. Forever and always. It is the last sentence in the pastel diary that drives ‘Thien’ on his journey to become a volunteer teacher on a hill to fulfill ‘her’ last wish. In a world unbeknownst to him, he begins to recognize his self-worth and the true meaning of giving without expecting anything in return. There, he meets ‘Captain Phupha’, and their intimacy blossoms into a tie within the embrace of the beautiful mountain ranges in the northernmost part of Thailand. Thien’s heart is filled with the memories of the tall officer to the brim until he becomes confused as to ‘whom’ the feelings really belong to. Are they his feelings or are they someone else's? As their love stands against the test of time, will they make it through? Or perhaps they have to wish upon the thousand stars for the promise they’ve made to come true?
