Plawan, a model who dreamed of becoming a well-paid performer, runs into money trouble and needs any side job he can get. Somehow he ends up in a talent selection for the kitchen of a prestigious restaurant, under Oab, an exacting and charismatic chef who drills his apprentices without mercy. Against his own expectations Plawan makes the cut, and now has to survive the kitchen — and an attraction to his mentor that he did not see coming. The book was adapted into the series This Love Doesn't Have Long Beans.
