Maew (Jirasak Panpoom) is a Thai rock singer, guitarist and producer. He was born on 10 May 1970 in Udon Thani Province and graduated in economics from Ramkhamhaeng University.
Active since 1991, he became one of the leading figures of Thai rock with the albums Catarock (1998), Get Up Higher (1999), Burn (2000) and Catarock No.4 Awake (2001), each of which sold more than 600,000 copies; Catarock OSX followed in 2013. His songs are known for socially minded lyrics and arrangements that move from acoustic to electric rock. Since 2015 he has worked independently, releasing singles such as Degree of Freedom with Kluay Thai (2015), and he performed at Thai Rock Fest in May 2026.
