Stone Metal Fire
Stone Metal Fire (SMF) is a Thai heavy-metal and hard-rock band formed in Bangkok in 1991 by vocalist Pathompong Sombatpiboon, formerly of the Olarn Project, and guitarist Jakkarin Daungmaneerattanachai. The lineup also includes guitarist Nampol Raksapong, bassist Narong Sirisarnsoonthorn, drummer Damrongsith Srinak and keyboard player Prateep Vorapat.
The band recorded for RS Promotion and released the self-titled debut Hin Lek Fai in 1993 and Khon Yuk Lek in 1995, becoming one of the leading names of the Thai metal wave of the early 1990s alongside Uranium, Big Gun and Hi-Rock. After a long pause they returned in 2005 with the album Never Say Die and the live record Acoustique in 2006, and they still play. They appeared at Wan Ploi Seur 5 in October 2025 and are booked for Thai Rock Fest 2 in March 2027.
