Taitosmith
Previously with: Gene Lab (2019–2026)
Taitosmith is a Thai rock band from Bangkok that describes its music as modern phleng phuea chiwit, Thai songs for life. The band was formed in 2018 by two indie musicians, Jaii (Itkron Pungkiatrussamee) and Most (Trinnasit Siripitchayasan), and grew into a six-piece with Jet (bass), Jay (keyboards), Meen (guitar) and Tuk (drums). A music clip caught the attention of Ohm of the band Cocktail, and Taitosmith signed to Gene Lab, a label in the GMM Grammy group.
Their songs mix rock, folk, blues and soul with lyrics about working people and those on the margins of society. Their soundtrack song for the film 4Kings, recorded with D Gerrard, passed 28 million views on YouTube, and Jaii also appeared in the film. The second album is built around the idea of songs for one's own life. Taitosmith are regulars at Big Mountain Music Festival, Big Mountain Music Village 2026 and Chiang Yai Fest 20+.
