The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band

The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band is a Bangkok group that grew out of the Paradise Bangkok DJ parties started in 2009 by Maft Sai and Chris Menist, and gave its first concerts in 2012. They play molam and other Thai folk forms fused with dub, funk and psychedelic rock. The line-up is built around Kammao Perdtanon on phin, Sawai Kaewsombat on khaen, bassist Piyanart Jotikasthira, drummer Phusana Treeburut and percussionist Chris Menist. Their albums 21st Century Molam (2014), Planet Lam (2016) and Araya Lam (2023) came out on Studio Lam and ZudRangMa Records, and they have toured Glastonbury, Field Day, OFF Festival and Festival Mundial. At home they play Melody of Life 17 and Wan Ploi Seur 5.
