Yented
Yented is a Thai pop band from Phayao, formed in 2017 by students of the University of Phayao who began by posting acoustic pop on YouTube. The seven-piece line-up is Jao (Pongthon Pametho, vocals), Toon (guitar), Kan (guitar), Mos (synth), Zack (keyboards), Prueang (bass) and Biw (drums). The odd name mashes up a Thai drink brand and Manchester United.
Their songs lean pop but wander into R&B, neo-soul and hip-hop; singles such as If, Far and Vibhavadi made them favourites with young listeners, and one of their videos passed ten million views. After almost a decade the band held its first full-scale concert, Yented Talumiti Concert, in Bangkok in May 2026, and now releases through BEEEF, a unit of Believe Artist Services Thailand. Yented appear at Big Mountain Music Festival, CAT Expo Bangkok 2026, CAT Tshirt and Chiang Yai Fest 20+.
