Yungtarr
Occupation: Rapper, Singer
Yungtarr is a Thai rapper and singer from Krabi in the south of the country. He discovered the battle-rap channel Rap Is Now at twelve and started making music, first with local sound engineers and then with young artists he met online. Still a school student in 2024, he was already drawing millions of streams with a lo-fi R&B take on underground rap that has since moved toward club sounds such as hyperpop, drum and bass and Jersey club.
He was part of the Dha Vision collective, where producer Nonstate was his teammate, and his track iPhone received official remixes, including a baile funk version. He raps in his southern dialect as well as standard Thai and English. He is on the lineup of Trapland Music Festival 2026 at JJ Hall in Bangkok on 18 October 2026.
