Zeal
Zeal are a Thai rock band whose members met while studying music at Srinakharinwirot University. The core line-up is Pex, Ken, Chu and Pok, later joined by guitarist Sila Namtep. Before recording their own material the band backed singers such as Thongchai McIntyre and Saowalak Leelabutr, and the name was picked from a dictionary after the original idea, SIL, sounded too close to Silly Fools.
Zeal mix heavy rock with unusual synthesizer textures and have released the albums Zeal, Trip, Space, 4Real and Grow, with hits including Song Rak, Ngo Khlao and Lom Thang Yuen. In 2003 they took part in the Little Rock Project tribute album alongside Clash, Paradox and Kala, and they now record for Me Records in the Music Move group. The band plays Fungthon Rock Festival 2026, Glamping Festival, LEO Fest 2026 and Meme Fest.
