Hai Qing dreams of studying art and becoming an artist, but life at home is not easy: his father is cruel, his grandfather is unwell in mind, and the family is short of money. At a swimming pool he notices the attractive Yan Fei, a young marketing director who has a boyfriend, Jimmy, and secretly photographs him. A chain of unlucky coincidences leads to a conversation, and Yan Fei leaves Hai Qing his number in the hope of meeting again; the attraction between them is instant. But Hai Qing drops his phone in the water and cannot call. Soon he meets Ping Jun, and they start dating. Yet this is only the beginning: Hai Qing cannot forget Yan Fei, and Yan Fei cannot forget him.
