In 1990, in a small city by a river, security guard Quan Liang is blamed for a series of bizarre and supernatural events. Though he seems connected to the strange happenings, the truth is harder to uncover due to local legends about demons and hidden gold. As more residents investigate the mysterious incidents, they struggle to separate fact from myth, and not everyone is interested in the truth.
