Because of his hearing problems, Sugihara Kohei is often misunderstood, finds it hard to fit into university life, and keeps to himself. Everything changes when he meets the loud and cheerful Sagawa Taichi.
They meet on the roof of a building where Kohei eats lunch alone. Taichi has recently lost his part-time job as a waiter and is broke. Later Kohei posts a request on a notice board for someone to take lecture notes for him, and Taichi takes on the job. Gradually a relationship develops between them that goes beyond friendship, although they are still far from being lovers. They change Kohei forever. ~~ Adapted from the manga series "Hidamari ga Kikoeru" (ひだまりが聴こえる) by Yuki Fumino (文乃千).
