An evil conspiracy has swept the capital in 1928. The chief of police uses his birthday celebration as an excuse to imprison notable people in the antiques trade. At the critical moment when the Five Meridians are in danger, Xu Yi Cheng saves the day. One wave has barely subsided when a new one rises: before his tragic death, Xu Yi Cheng's good friend Chen Wei Li sent him a note with the faint marks of "wind" and "earth." Starting an investigation, Xu Yi Cheng is surprised to learn that the Japanese are involved. Yu Fang, a beili of the Qing Dynasty, reveals that the tomb of Imperial Noble Consort Shushen has been robbed, and Xu Yi Cheng is commissioned to resolve the crisis at the Eastern Mausoleum. To prevent the looting of national treasures and find the truth behind his friend's death, he gets help from royal clan descendant Hai Lan Zhu, Five Meridians junior Liu Yi Ming, Huang Ke Wu and Fu Gui as they bravely charge to Ping'an City. ~~ Adapted from the novel by Ma Bo Yong.
