Three families from different backgrounds face challenges as they send their children to study abroad. Huang Cheng Dong has to accompany his son Huang Xiao Dong to the US after his wife's visa is rejected. There he meets Lin Sa, a former executive who gave up her career to marry into a rich family and help her stepdaughter, Wu Dan Dan, study abroad. After a series of mishaps, Huang Cheng Dong discovers that Liu Ruo Yu, his son's guardian, has troubles of her own, and he must find a way to stay in the US. Through laughter and tears, the families go through trials that test their relationships.
