The story takes place in the fictional country of Bhutin. Under a long-standing promise between two families, Crown Prince In is to marry Kaning, a girl from an ordinary family. Before this, the prince had a close friend, Minnie: he proposed to her, but she refused, and now she regrets it and wants him back. In addition, the widow of the former crown prince is seeking the throne for her son, In's cousin. Kaning moves into the palace, where everything is governed by strict rules, and the prince at first does not accept the wife imposed on him. But they spend every day side by side and gradually begin to understand each other better.
