Chia Kai cannot see ghosts, but he can see colored threads that connect people: the more threads, the more bonds a person has. He has seen countless threads, but he himself is not connected to anyone and does not understand why, so he has come to terms with being alone. After an unexpected incident, Chia Kai meets the police officer Ta Wei and notices a silver-grey thread stretching from himself to Ta Wei. So as not to lose the connection, he takes a part-time job at the police station. Thanks to his gift, he helps search for missing people and objects. As they grow closer, the thread changes color: first to yellow, meaning friendship, then to red, meaning love. ~~ Adapted from the web novel "Wu Hsien Jen Sheng: Cheng Ko Shih Chieh, Chih Yu Ni Lien Shang Liao Wo" (無線人生：整個世界，只有你連上了我) by Beck.
