Seventeen-year-old Wen Hai is left without parents. Until he comes of age he cannot live alone, so his stepbrother Gu Huai Zhou, a wealthy and cold man he had never met before, becomes his guardian. Life next to him turns out to be hard: the guardian is harsh and shows no sympathy. Wen Hai is torn between resentment and dependence on him. On top of that, Gu Huai Zhou has an enemy who builds an intrigue and draws his ward into it. So the teenager ends up at the center of dangerous relationships, hidden schemes and emotional tension that threaten to destroy his already fragile world.
