They were able to win rookie awards in 2018 from the Korea Brand Awards, the Soribada Best K-Music Awards and the Melon Music Awards. In November 2019, they debuted in Japan with the release of their EP, "Tattoo". Then, in May 2020, the group entered Mnet's reality competition "Road to Kingdom", ending in 1st place. In September 2021, their agency merged with PlayM Entertainment and became IST Entertainment (IST엔터테인먼트). In early 2025, they moved to One Hundred Label (원헌드레드레이블); however, by early 2026, all members (except New) notified the agency of their intent to terminate their contracts due to breach of trust and filed for an injunction to suspend their validity. In April 2026, the court granted the injunction suspending the exclusive contracts with One Hundred. Then, in August, the 9 remaining members announced that each would sign separate contracts with agencies for solo projects but would continue to promote as a group.
