Jang Sung Kyu is a South Korean former announcer turned host and television personality. He graduated from Hanyoung High School. Before debuting, he participated in the survival show "New Recruit", a segment of MBC's weekend variety show "Our Sunday Night" looking for new announcers. He made it to the top 5 but was ultimately not chosen as part of the new announcers' lineup. However, nearly at the same time, JTBC was about to launch and one executive at MBC was hired by the newly formed network. The executive saw potential in him and recruited the 4th and 5th place of the competition to join JTBC as part of a special recruitment. He made his debut in early 2012 as the JTBC Weekend Newsdesk announcer. He left the network in 2019 and became a freelancer and now appears as a host, panelist or guest in a wide variety of shows. He is represented by SM C&C (에스엠컬처앤콘텐츠).
