Jung Ye Rin is a South Korean singer, dancer, actress, and former member of GFRIEND (여자친구). She graduated from Seoul Performing Arts High School. Before debuting, she spent time as a trainee at Cube Entertainment and at Fantagio. She made her debut in January 2015 as GFRIEND's lead dancer, vocalist, center and face of the group with their first EP, "Season of Glass". They were originally managed by Source Music (쏘스뮤직) and immediately won several female rookie awards, garnering momentum early on despite being from a small company. In July 2019, Source was acquired by HYBE Corporation (하이브) and became part of their labels. They decided to continue managing the group as it had commercial success. However, in May 2021, all 6 members decided not to renew their contracts and left the agency. As a result, HYBE released a statement announcing the group's disbandment. She made her debut as a solo artist in May 2022 with the single "Aria". She signed with Bill Entertainment (빌엔터테인먼트) in April 2023. In September 2024, it was confirmed that GFRIEND was reuniting to celebrate their 10th anniversary. They released the project album "Season of Memories" and had several concerts and presentations on music shows. After the promotional period ends, it is expected that each member will return to their individual activities.
