Chu Yi Ping, a man without emotions, receives Ever 9, an experimental assistant robot, after an accident at school. At first Yi Ping resists, but gradually he realizes that Ever 9 complements him and gives him a sense of companionship. Yi Ping asks Ever 9 to make a wish, and they decide to fulfill it together. But before the list is finished, Ever 9 breaks down and needs a reset. After the reset leads Ever 9 to a complete reinstallation, the robot hurries to finish the wish list, pretending to be bored with Yi Ping and asking to be returned.
