The Hengji Intelligent Technology corporation develops androids with artificial intelligence. One of them, Ever 9, was provided to historian Chu Yi Ping, but because of an overly strong emotional attachment he went out of control and deserted. He is replaced on the market by Ever 4, a refined robot. Instead of simply serving humans, he stands up for robot rights and, beneath a calm exterior, shows a quirky character. One of the first to buy him is Luo Bu Shi, a spoiled but lonely young heir, and Ever 4 becomes his personal butler. As they grow closer, a love story unfolds, and the robot's devotion and the changes in Luo Bu Shi himself make it a tale of friendship and a bond that goes beyond species.
