Jun Hyun Moo is a South Korean former announcer and current host and television personality. He graduated from Myeongdeok Foreign Language High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in English Language & Literature from Yonsei University. Before debuting, he passed the audition for voice actors while still in college. He did not take the position as he wanted to study more and because he was determined to become an announcer. He made his debut in 2003 as part of the 43rd open recruitment for reporters at The Chosun Ilbo. The following year, he passed the announcer test and became part of the 8th open recruitment at YTN. He spent 2 years as a news anchor at the network before moving to KBS in 2006, where he became part of the 32nd open recruitment for announcers. In 2012, he suddenly announced his resignation from KBS and opted to go freelance. However, per KBS regulations, he was banned from appearing in any of their programs for 3 years. Instead, he began showcasing his abilities as an MC, hosting a wide range of variety shows and cultural programs. He found more success by freelancing and is now one of the most recognized faces in South Korean television. He is represented by SM C&C (에스엠컬처앤콘텐츠).
